The Ladies of the Arc
The Ladies of the Arc are a collective of mothers who have lost children to gun violence and use art to heal. Through a cohort-style program, expressive art and shared storytelling, the Ladies turn their grief into collective healing, solidarity, and purpose. Founded by Cecilia Rodhe, the program supports the Ladies as they navigate their healing journeys and uses art as a tool to promote expression and connection. By centering mothers’ voices and experiences, the program deepens the foundation’s impact beyond just youth programming: it nurtures healing, intergenerational connection, and community solidarity. Our programming includes peer-to-peer groups, group therapy and offers individual therapy for our participants. In collaboration with our Expression from the Inside program, our participants are offered the opportunity to train as facilitators of our Expression from the Inside workshops. This allows our programming to reach additional audiences.
