September Letter from the President

Fall is once again upon us with back to school and back to work, and nature is preparing for winter with less light, colder winds, and snow.

The summer season for Noah's Arc Foundation started the first week of June with the Perspectives Charter School peace walk and ends with Rock Your Drop on the Block with After School Matters in August and our Stickman Classic awards celebration.

Our second annual Rock Your Drop on the Block culminated at the Marrilac House after we walked with our Soul Peace Flags made during our summer programs including the Peacemakers initiative of former U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. And soulful it was.

I get goosebumps remembering hundreds of youth, families, neighbors, friends, and of course my family marching and waving our flags to spread peace.

It was truly inspirational to stand together as one representing the pillars of Noah’s Arc Foundation: unity awareness, consciousness, and gratitude. Let’s not forget these deep feelings as we transition into winter.

Until next time, save the date for our third annual Rock Your Drop on the Block on August 2, 2018!
